Mike Felstein

 

1971 - 2019

 

Our founder, captain, and friend Mike Felstein created the Griffins in 2002 with co-founder, and current Griffin Shon De Vet. 

The team is still going strong over 20 years later with many team members still playing with over 10 years of active duty on the Griffins roster. 

 

Mike passed away suddenly in 2019. He was a life coach, a profession at which he excelled, working with disadvantaged people in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and in Surrey. He also championed support groups for single fathers. 

His comprehensive knowledge of music saw him present popular trivia night quizzes throughout the Greater Vancouver area and he also loved taking musical presentations to seniors groups.  

 

No game day is the same without Mike. Mike brought so much joy to those who knew him and is deeply missed by his family and many friends.
